I have been a Beachbody coach since 2013, and have never for a minute thought of NOT being a Beachbody coach. Here’s why:
I really struggled with whether to put the workouts first, or Shakeology first. But ultimately, I had to go with the workouts, since most of my family uses them, and only some of us use Shakeology.
(3 out of 5 of us absolutely love it, 2 of 5 haven’t tried it so they can’t really say they don’t like it. 😉
For a busy mom (or a busy dad, or a teenage runner who wants to cross train), you can not beat the ease OR selection from Beachbody On Demand!
Just a quick primer on how it all works. You can either (A) follow a program, according to a schedule, for amazing results, or (B) queue up a workout that fits what you’re looking for in the moment.
I have done both over the years. I’ve completed more programs than I can remember, from P90X (the original) to Insanity, to Combat, to PiYo to Insanity Asylum (outside of running, the workout that gave me the absolute best level of fitness, hands down… it’s HARD and awesome!)
Right now, with running as my soul mate workout, I tend to use option B, and just pull up the workout I desire on any given day. For example, I might do:
- PiYo on a day when I need some strength and length.
- A ten minute core workout from Insanity, 21 Day Fix, Insanity Max 30, or another program, right after I finish my run.
- Insanity Max 30 on a non-run day when I want a good hard cardio workout.
- An upper-body or full-body strength workout to help me build the strength I want for my runs.
My teenage-runner son uses Beachbody On Demand in much the same way, while my husband (who doesn’t run) loves to follow a program. In fact, P90 was really the first workout program he’s ever stuck with, with amazing results! My younger two kiddos tend to just occasionally queue up a workout according to their moods…. which is awesome, too!

I actually became a coach for one reason: I wanted to try Shakeology, and I wanted to do so at the best price possible.
All these years later, I still drink Shakeology daily, so right there is all the reason I really need to continue to be a coach.
Why do I love Shakeology? The truth is, it really is the healthiest meal that I consistently consume.
I love to cook healthy foods, but consistently, every single day, I get a huge “dose of dense nutrition.”
In real life, I cannot say that every single meal, every single day is beautifully, perfectly, nutrient-dense.
Because some days? Lunch is popcorn. (keeping it real)
But with Shakeology, I know that every single day, I get at least one amazing meal, and super quickly, on the fly!
Can it help with weight loss? Absolutely! But it’s also just good nutrition.
I am sure I could gush awhile longer about why I adore being a Beachbody coach, but this gives you the idea.
